Adult Learn to Ride – June 2023
June 18, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Get Rolling on Your Bicycle Journey
Bike Fun is lead teaching a course for adults on learning (or relearning) how to ride a bicycle. This course is meant for brand new riders and for potential riders who are anxious about getting back on a bicycle after a long time away. Walk Bike Nashville is sponsoring the course.
In honor of this class being held on Father’s Day, this will be a MEN or MALE-IDENTIFIED ONLY offering.
Do you know someone who never learned to ride a bike as a child but has always wanted to? Do you feel like you could use a refresher after a long, long time away? Then we have something just for you!
This course is for men or male-identified folks who have never pedaled a bicycle before or who have been away for decades! It will cover the following topics:
- Getting onto the bike
- Basic balance
- Starting and stopping
Come learn how to ride in a safe and supportive environment.
Ages 18+, 16+ with parent or caregiver present. Bicycles and helmets are provided. If you have your own bicycle, you may bring it for us to assess for size, functionality, etc.
Bring water, snack, and wear comfortable clothing.
