The League of American Bicyclists announced their 2022-2026 recipients of Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) designations. Bike Fun, a 501(c)(3) bicycle education organization in the Nashville, TN area, was selected to receive gold level recognition, the second-highest designation in the program.
Bike Fun joins 4 other Nashville-area businesses as gold level BFB recipients. The designation was determined by a submitted application, plus feedback directly to the League from Bike Fun students and stakeholders.
“Although Bike Fun does not have a brick-and-mortar location, our work to promote bicycle riding and confident riding skills – for all ages – feeds in to other businesses in the area,” said KJ Garner, board president of Bike Fun. “We are thankful that the League of American Bicyclists recognizes that a small-but-growing non-profit can have an impact in our community.”
Bike Fun’s mission is to create joyful riders in the Middle Tennessee area. Small group classes, rides, and one-on-one instruction as well as partnerships with other local non-profits form the foundation of Bike Fun’s outreach.
The board of directors for Bike Fun includes KJ Garner, president; Daniel Montalvo, treasurer; Carey Rogers, secretary; Amy Willoughby Bryant, director; and Jeff Brousal, director.
