Nashville Area Women/FTW Only Ride – April 27, 2021
April 27, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Join us for our second FTW/women’s-only ride of the year. Any time is great to ride, of course, but it’s even better when it’s with new bike friends. Details and start location will be published on the private Facebook group Ladies, Ride! If you’re not on Facebook, please contact KJ for more specifics.
This ride will center returning and new riders who hope to gain confidence and knowledge about riding a bike. Rides will be between 6-10 miles. No rider left behind. We will traverse streets and greenways (mostly greenways on this one).
We will have a short (10 minute) maintenance demo at the beginning of the ride covering various topics like tire inflation, fixing a dropped chain, lubricating a drivetrain, and more. (Only one topic covered per ride!)
If possible, we will divide up into groups of no more than FIVE riders, with a ride leader for each group and a sweep at the end. Although we are seeing the end of the pandemic tunnel, masks will be REQUIRED during the ride*.
Start locations will vary; hopefully we’ll have enough interest to do a Tuesday ride every 2 weeks and a Thursday ride every 2 weeks.
In case of inclement weather, the ride will be cancelled. EVENT UPDATES WILL BE POSTED IN THE FACEBOOK GROUP.
There is no charge for this ride, but donations to Bike Fun – a non-profit organization based in Nashville – are welcomed.
* Why require this? When hollering directions to each other, when passing other people on streets or greenways, imagine the droplets that leave your mouth and enter into others’ respiratory systems! We’ve got to keep moving, but we can do it in a manner that’s respectful and SAFER to all around us.
Outdoor events are weather pending – for events requiring registration, participants will be notified about cancellations via text or email. For non-registration events, please contact us or keep an eye on our social media platforms for up-to-date information.
