At their annual celebration on December 4th, 2017, KJ Garner was selected as the Walk Bike Nashville 2017 Instructor of the Year for teaching classes as part of Walk Bike University. “I’m grateful for the chances to teach people how to ride a bike and how much fun bike riding can be,” KJ said.
The statement from Walk Bike Nashville reads, in part: “KJ was our go-to instructor of the year. Not only did she teach numerous community classes, from Adult Learn to Ride to City Cycling, but her enthusiasm, attention to detail, excellent presentation skills and calm manner made her a trusted teacher for riders of all skill abilities.”
KJ’s philosophy on teaching? “I usually say it’s 90% rider, 10% bike – and in this instance, for me, it’s 90% students, 10% instructor.”
Many thanks to all the folks who have been Bike Fun clients or who have referred people to us – we hope to bring more joy to Nashvillians in 2018, too.
