Get your kid started on their bicycling journey! \nThis course is for 9 and 10 year olds who have never pedaled a bicycle without training wheels. It covers the following topics: \n\nGetting onto the bike\nBasic balance\nStarting and stopping\nPedaling\nTurning\n\nCome learn how to ride in a safe and supportive environment. \nFor our learn to ride classes\, we emphasize exposure\, not expertise. If you just need bench space to use tools\, consider making donation to either Bike Fun or Cosecha Community. \nFirst come\, first served\nBasic fix assistance includes fix-a-flat\, bolt safety checks\, and chain cleaning. Find out why it’s important to shift gears properly\, what inflation to use for your tires\, how (and why) to clean a chain\, and more. \nWant to keep your bike on the road and out of the shop? Come learn how just a few maintenance tasks will keep your bike going longer. \nBike Fun is hosting a Basic Bicycle Maintenance class. We will cover the basics of home bicycle maintenance\, as well as provide time to answer questions you may have about bicycle maintenance. If you have a bicycle and bring it\, we’ll also fill out your very own Bicycle Information Sheet. \nWe will be inside working on our bicycles. \nThis course is for anyone 13 and up who wants to learn more about taking good care of a bicycle. It will cover the following topics: \n\nHow to fix a flat\nHow to properly inflate your tires\nHow to clean a chain and diagnose chain wear; and\nWhat each part of your bike is.\n\nAges 13 and up – this is not a youth-specific course\, FYI. DESCRIPTION:Help us get some bikes ready to roll!\n\nWe’re in need of some cleaning for donated bikes that have been in storage\, and for bikes that have been through summer camps and summer classes.\nIf you’ve got basic mechanical skills\, we’ll also be making adjustments on either simple single speed kids bikes or (less likely) geared\, hand brake bikes.\nFor bikes that we can’t fully fix\, we’ll strip them for usable parts.\nDrop by anytime during the hours of 10am-1pm. We’ll wrap up by 2pm.\nWe’ll be in the courtyard next to the building. If it’s raining\, we will be inside the Bike Fun Bike Lab.\nMeet us at Woodbine UMC\, between Nolensville Pike and Grandview Ave.\nLet us know you’re coming if you can! sign up to volunteer here.\n\nBike Fun will supply rags\, soap\, water\, degreaser\, etc. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. DESCRIPTION:Learn at home caregiving tasks to keep your bicycle in tip top shape. Receive praise from the bike shop for keeping your bike in good order! Find out why it’s important to shift gears properly\, what inflation to use for your tires\, how (and why) to clean a chain\, and more. \nWant to keep your bike on the road and out of the shop? Come learn how just a few maintenance tasks will keep your bike going longer. \nBike Fun is hosting a Basic Bicycle Maintenance class. We will cover the basics of home bicycle maintenance\, as well as provide time to answer questions you may have about bicycle maintenance. If you have a bicycle and bring it\, we’ll also fill out your very own Bicycle Information Sheet. \nRegistration for the class is here. Suggested ticket price is sliding scale between $50-100.  \nWe will be inside working on our bicycles. \nThis course is for anyone 13 and up who wants to learn more about taking good care of a bicycle. It will cover the following topics: \n\nHow to fix a flat\nHow to properly inflate your tires\nHow to clean a chain and diagnose chain wear; and\nWhat each part of your bike is.\n\nAges 13 and up – this is not a youth-specific course\, FYI. Bicycles can be provided for those who would like to attend but don’t have their own bicycle yet. DESCRIPTION:Help us get some bikes ready to roll!\n\nWe’re in need of some cleaning for donated bikes that have been in storage.\nIf you’ve got basic mechanical skills\, we’ll also be making adjustments on either simple single speed kids bikes or (less likely) geared\, hand brake bikes.\nFor bikes that we can’t fully fix\, we’ll strip them for usable parts.\nDrop by anytime during the hours of 10am-12pm. We’ll wrap up by 1pm.\nWe’ll be in the courtyard next to the building. If it’s raining\, we will be inside the Bike Fun Bike Lab.\nMeet us at Woodbine UMC\, between Nolensville Pike and Grandview Ave.\nLet us know you’re coming if you can! sign up to volunteer here.\n\nBike Fun will supply rags\, soap\, water\, degreaser\, etc. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. DESCRIPTION:Help us get some bikes ready to roll!\n\nWe’re in need of some cleaning for donated bikes that have been in storage.\nIf you’ve got basic mechanical skills\, we’ll also be making adjustments on either simple single speed kids bikes or (less likely) geared\, hand brake bikes.\nFor bikes that we can’t fully fix\, we’ll strip them for usable parts.\nDrop by anytime during the hours of 5-7pm. We’ll wrap up by 8pm.\nWe’ll be in the parking strip next to the building. If it’s raining\, we will be inside the Bike Fun Bike Lab.\nMeet us at Woodbine UMC\, between Nolensville Pike and Grandview Ave.\nLet us know you’re coming if you can! sign up to volunteer here.\n\nBike Fun will supply rags\, soap\, water\, degreaser\, etc. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
