DESCRIPTION:Join us for a visibility event and the creation of a human separated bike lane on Demonbreun Street. Meet us at the Buddy Killen roundabout by Music Row on Wednesday\, October 9th\, from 5-6pm. Anyone who has ridden a bicycle on this street knows it is a danger to all road users. Illegal parking in bike lanes is rampant and constant\, and drivers rarely yield to walkers in crosswalks despite signage requiring them to do so. \nYears of complaints to Metro Government\, Public Works\, and Metro Police produced little change. A scooter rider was killed here this year which further stresses the need to make Nashville streets safe for all users. \nWe need a large group of bike riders\, walkers\, scooter riders\, and safe streets supporters to make our point.
