DESCRIPTION:You’re Never Too Old to Learn to Ride!\nThis course is for brand new riders who have either only pedaled on training wheels or who have tried without success to ride without training wheels. \nYou must register to attend – fill out this registration form! Class size limited to 5 students. Registration fee is $20-35. If you need assistance with the fee\, contact us! \nDo you know a 5 or 6 year old who needs some help getting going on two wheels? Then we have something just for you! \nClass Details\nBike Fun is hosting a 5 & 6 Year Old Learn to Ride event. Get your kid started on their bicycling journey! \nThis course is for 5 and 6 year olds who have never pedaled a bicycle before. It covers the following topics: \n\nGetting onto the bike\nBasic balance\nStarting and stopping\nPedaling\nTurning\n\nCome learn how to ride in a safe and supportive environment. \nFor our learn to ride classes\, we emphasize exposure\, not expertise. Each human learns at their own pace\, and we work with each student within their own ability. \nSee our general agenda for group classes. Get your questions about group classes answered\, too. \nAges 5 & 6. Bicycles and helmets can be provided for those who would like to attend\, but don’t have their own bicycle yet. Please bring a water bottle/hydration and a snack! We’ll have information on bike riding\, taking care of your bike\, and more. \nIndoor shop space is limited to 3 people at a time for up to one hour. \nIt’s donation-based\nWe’ve got a limited number of spare parts available on a sliding scale basis. If you just need bench space to use tools\, consider making donation to either Bike Fun or Cosecha Community. \nFirst come\, first served\nBasic fix assistance includes fix-a-flat\, bolt safety checks\, and chain cleaning. We will have replacement tubes & tires on a first-come-first-served basis. Come see us and learn how to keep your bike in good riding shape! \n\n¿Necesita herramientas\, piezas o asistencia? Nosotros lo tenemos.\nÚnase a nosotros el segundo y cuarto martes de cada mes en la Comunidad Cosecha en Woodbine UMC. DESCRIPTION:Check out the East Thompson Lane road reconfiguration\n(ver abajo para español)  \nA temporary road reconfiguration for East Thompson Lane will be set up from June 26 – June 30. This corridor is in the 2022 WalknBike plan as well as being on the high injury network. See the project page here. \nRoll with us & see design in action\nWe will meet at Whitsett Park playground area by 11am to roll at 11:30am along East Thompson Lane.  We will return to the playground to provide input into the project and enjoy snacks! \nBike Fun can provide some bicycles and helmets for those who need them – please contact us by no later than June 26th. \nDetails\nDate: Saturday\, June 28th\nTime: 11AM meet – 11:30AM roll – return to Whitsett Park playground for refreshments & reflections\nRegister: No registration is required but if you need to borrow a bike\, let us know by 6/26!
