SUMMARY:HOT CHOCOLATE the Park with Friends of Shelby - November 2025
DESCRIPTION:This is a SPECIAL EVENT to encourage all ages bike riding\, get to meet other bike riders in the area\, and enjoy some tasty warm beverages (presuming the weather is cool enough!). We’ll have hot chocolate and cookies to share. \nTAKE OUR PARTICIPANT SURVEY & let us know how many folks you’re bringing if you can & to reserve a bike if you need one! \n\nRiders and participants at Hot Chocolate the Park with Friends of Shelby and Bike Fun in November 2024.\nRide schedule & details\n\nYou can show up starting at 1:30/1:45pm for a bike inspection and hang out. We’ll provide a safety overview and inflate tires. We will roll out at 2:15pm. \nTHIS EDITION OF THE PEDAL THE PARK RIDE WILL BEGIN AT CORNELIA FORT AIRPARK ON SHADOW LANE.  \nWe will roll as a large all-ages group\, then adults/older youth riders will split off for a guided ride on the back end of the greenway. Games are possible for the younger kids at the park entrance! \nHas it been a while since you last biked? Want to join but haven’t got your own bike? A limited number of bikes are available for us to bring – drop us a line NO LATER THAN FRIDAY\, OCTOBER 31ST so we can bring a bike that fits your needs. Bikes are FIRST COME\, FIRST SERVED. Check here for updates.  \nRide requirements & requests\nIf you feel sick\, stay home! \nWe ride as a group to support new and returning bicycle riders – no rider left behind. If you are a more experienced bike rider\, you are welcome to come and help other riders build their riding confidence and skills!\n\nAdhere to all greenway trail etiquette (ride on right\, signal when passing\, stay under 15MPH\, slow down around walkers). \n\n\nThere is no charge for this ride\, but donations to Bike Fun or Friends of Shelby are gratefully accepted.
