DESCRIPTION:Bring your bicycle back to life – or find a new bike steed\nA bicycle revival is an event where bicycles are refreshed and riders can learn more about mechanical magic! Bike Fun will have mechanics on hand to help with repairs both basic and intermediate: cleaning and lubricating chains\, flat tire repairs\, and brake checks among others. \nWe’re holding this Bicycle Revival in conjunction with the annual Oasis Bike Workshop Bikey Yard Sale\, where bikes\, accessories\, components\, & more will be on offer! \nAll proceeds from the yard sale will go to support the youth programming at Oasis Bike Workshop. \nWant to help us by volunteering as a mechanic\, general greeter\, or muscle the set up/tear down? Sign up here! \nCome bring your bicycle to us\nWe’ll be outside at Oasis Bike Workshop\, from 10am-2pm. First come\, first served – we’ll try to get to everyone! \nWe will be able to provide basic consumable bike parts like tubes\, tires\, brake pads. Availability may vary due to what we have on hand. \nFind out how to be good caretaker to your wonderful freedom machine with just 3 simple techniques. \nBike Fun has a mission to create more joyful riders in Middle Tennessee. \nThe Oasis Bike Workshop is a year-round earn-a-bike program that empowers Nashville’s young people with alternative transportation and maintenance skills.

Class size is limited to 5 students. Suggested fee $30-40. If you need financial support for this class\, drop us a line.\n \nGot a 7 or 8 year old who wants to learn more about bicycle handling skills\, signaling\, or riding with friends? \nBike Fun is hosting Intermediate Riding Skills for 7 & 8 Year Olds. Come help us get your kid up to speed on signaling\, weaving\, riding with friends and more! \nGet ready to ride with friends\nThis course is for 7 and 8 year olds who are comfortable riding a bicycle but need to improve their handling skills. It will cover the following topics: \n\nEfficient braking techniques\nWeaving in between objects\nMaking hand signals\nLooking out for obstacles/fellow riders\n\nIncrease riding skills in a safe and supportive environment. \nAges 7 & 8. Bicycles and helmets provided on request. Please bring a water bottle/hydration and a snack!
