DESCRIPTION:Bring your bicycle back to life\nA bicycle revival is an event where bicycles are refreshed and riders can learn more about mechanical magic! Bike Fun will have mechanics on hand to help with repairs both basic and intermediate: cleaning and lubricating chains\, flat tire repairs\, and brake checks among others. \nCome bring your bicycle to us\nWe’ll be at Trinity Community Commons on Saturday\, November 4th\, from 10am-noon. First come\, first served – we’ll try to get to everyone! Rain date will be Saturday\, November 11th. \nLet’s go for a ride!\nAfterwards – weather pending – come with us on a community bike ride from 1-3p (approximately) through the neighborhood to McFerrin Park and back. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. \nFind out how to be good caretaker to your wonderful freedom machine with just 3 simple techniques. \nBike Fun has a mission to create more joyful riders in Middle Tennessee. \nTrinity Community Commons leverages sacred space to affirm and activate the worth and potential of all members of this community.

DESCRIPTION:Find out about the 31st Ave Bikeway Pilot Project\nWith paving under construction\, the Nashville Department of Transportation has the opportunity to pilot a bikeway that we can evaluate for all forms of transportation (people walking/biking/rolling/using transit/driving) and either make permanent\, modify\, or remove with permanent paving and striping starting in November 2023. See the project page here. \nEvent Details\nJoin the Nashville Department of Transportation and Bike Fun for a community engagement event about the 31st Ave Bikeway pilot program. Our host is Cumberland Transit. \nWe will meet at Cumberland Transit at 11:30AM to roll by 11:45AM through the project site and back. DESCRIPTION:Learn 3 caregiving tasks to keep your bicycle in tip top shape. Receive praise from the bike shop for keeping your bike in good order! Find out why it’s important to shift gears properly\, what inflation to use for your tires\, how to clean a chain\, and more. \nYou must register to attend – fill out this registration form! Class size is limited to 10 students. Registration fee is flexible\, between $20-30.  \nWant to keep your bike on the road and out of the shop? Come learn how just a few maintenance tasks will keep your bike going longer. \nBike Fun is hosting a Basic Bicycle Maintenance class. We will cover the basics of home bicycle maintenance\, as well as provide time to answer questions you may have about bicycle maintenance. If you have a bicycle and bring it\, we’ll also fill out your very own Bicycle Information Sheet. \nWe will be inside working on our bicycles. \nThis course is for anyone 13 and up who wants to learn more about taking good care of a bicycle. It will cover the following topics: \n\nHow to fix a flat\nHow to properly inflate your tires\nHow to clean a chain and diagnose chain wear; and\nWhat each part of your bike is.\n\nAges 13+ – this is not a youth-specific course\, FYI. Bicycles can be provided for those who would like to attend but don’t have their own bicycle yet. Come celebrate your success with us and other learn to ride students at this special All Bodies Ride! Bring your family\, your friends\, and let’s all ride together. \nWe will have a mini Learn to Ride session before the ride if you need refresher tips. It will last for one hour and is not intended for brand new learners. \nThis slideshow requires JavaScript. \nEvent Details\nOn Sunday\, November 19th\, 2023\, Walk Bike Nashville hosts an All Bodies Ride event. Bring friends\, family\, and loved ones to enjoy a casual bike ride together. \nWalk Bike Nashville and Bike Fun can provide bicycles and helmets for those who need them (some bicycles may need to be shared depending on the number of participants). \nFor riders who may still be working on their handling skills\, we will focus on the airpark track itself.
