DESCRIPTION:Take the bicycle festival survey here\nLet’s ride a bike!\nThe South Inglewood Bicycle Festival is back for a second year! This event brings together a wide variety of bicycling enthusiasts – from supporters to mechanics\, from beginners to experienced cyclists\, from commuters to mountain bikers to cargo haulers and more. \nBike Fun is grateful to have received a second year grant from the Inglewood Neighborhood Association in support of this event. We are also thankful for our returning location partner\, the South Inglewood Community Center! \nIf there’s inclement weather\, the Bicycle Festival will be held inside the South Inglewood Community Center. Otherwise\, we’ll be outside! \nWhat’s going on during the festival?\nRebecca Street will be a SLOW STREET! It will be CLOSED to anything other than residential traffic. You can access the community center parking lot via Moore. You can park on Branch\, Moore\, Shinkle\, or Ann Streets. \nIn addition to the tables and activities from festival participants\, Bike Fun will have 4 stations for attendees: \n\na basic bicycle maintenance station (with kids bike giveaways)\na station for traffic laws and safety guidelines\na helmet fitting station (with adult & kid helmet giveaways)\na station with crafts to make your bike or bike helmet more fun and visible\n\n1:00pm – Festival opens\n1:30pm – Storytime ride with Ms Allgood of Inglewood Elementary (meet at Inglewood Elementary booth)\n2:00pm – Slow Bicycle Race with Friends of Shelby (meet at Friends of Shelby booth)\n2:30pm – “How to Mom on a Bike” – with Brenda & Meg (meet at cargo bike/bus demo area)\n3:00pm – Storytime ride with Ms Allgood of Inglewood Elementary (meet at Inglewood Elementary booth)\nOngoing – bicycle giveaways\, helmet giveaways\, helmet fitting\, rider/bicycle visibility\, slow street on Rebecca St\n4:00pm – Festival closes \nThanks to our participants\, we’ll have some great giveaways at the Bicycle Festival including helmets\, lights\, kids bikes\, t-shirts\, and more. \nBest of all\, this event is free & open to the public. \n30 Days of Biking\nThe month of April is the season for 30 Days of Biking.
