DESCRIPTION:Take a ride in the park with Friends of Shelby and Bike Fun! Twice a month\, we’ll cruise around Shelby Park starting from the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center Trailhead for a casual\, no-drop ride\, lasting about an hour. Free\, social bike ride for ages 10+.  \nThis ride supports new and returning bicycle riders for ages 10 and up who want to learn more about bicycle riding in a no-pressure\, encouraging environment. We will learn more about  \n\nthe hows and whys of greenway riding\nbasic bicycle maintenance\nfeatures of Shelby Park and Bottoms\nthe work Friends of Shelby Park does to support the park.\n\nDepending on the number of riders\, we may split up into different pace groups. \n\nRide schedule & details\nMeet at the Nature Center Trailhead – look for the bicycle riders by the trailhead sign. No RSVP required (unless you need a bicycle – see below!)  \n\nMeet up starting at 5pm for a bike inspection and hang out. We’ll provide a safety overview and check everyone’s tires. We will roll out at 5:30pm.  \nHas it been a while since you last biked? Want to join but haven’t got your own bike? A limited number of bikes are available for us to bring – drop us a line at least 48 hours in advance so we can provide a bike that fits your needs. Bikes are FIRST COME\, FIRST SERVED. Bike Fun will have mechanics on hand to help with repairs both basic and intermediate: cleaning and lubricating chains\, flat tire repairs\, and brake checks among others. \nWe’re holding this Bicycle Revival in conjunction with the annual Oasis Bike Workshop Bikey Yard Sale\, where bikes\, accessories\, components\, & more will be on offer! \nAll proceeds from the yard sale will go to support the youth programming at Oasis Bike Workshop. \nCome bring your bicycle to us\nWe’ll be outside at Oasis Bike Workshop\, from 10am-2pm. First come\, first served – we’ll try to get to everyone! \nWe will be able to provide basic consumable bike parts like tubes\, tires\, brake pads. DESCRIPTION:Hooray for 30 Days of Biking!\nA Bike Fun group ride to celebrate the start of 30 Days of Biking! The ride will roll for about 10-15 miles on the Cumberland River Greenway and in Germantown and is casual paced\, no drop. We’ll split into 2 speed groups to make rolling more efficient! \nAll ages welcomed\nWant to bring your kids? We’ll have a turnaround spot for young riders at about 3 1/2 miles in. \nSchedule of events\nWe will head to Morgan Park for a mid-ride coffee stop. (We’ll have regular coffee & some other beverages to share.) \nMeet up at the Ted Rhodes golf course clubhouse parking lot starting around noon. We will roll out by 10:30a. If you need to borrow a bicycle\, there is a BCycle station nearby or Bike Fun can provide one for you with ample advance notice (get in contact here). \nWhere: Ted Rhodes golf course parking lot\nWhen: Saturday\, April 6th\, 10a meet – 10:30a roll\nHow far: 10-15 miles round trip\, with a conversation stop in the middle. Come celebrate your success with us and other learn to ride students at this special All Bodies Ride! Bring your family\, your friends\, and let’s all ride together. \nWe will have a mini Learn to Ride session before the ride if you need refresher tips. It will last for one hour and is not intended for brand new learners. \nThis slideshow requires JavaScript. \nEvent Details\nOn Sunday\, November 19th\, 2023\, Walk Bike Nashville hosts an All Bodies Ride event. Bring friends\, family\, and loved ones to enjoy a casual bike ride together. \nWalk Bike Nashville and Bike Fun can provide bicycles and helmets for those who need them (some bicycles may need to be shared depending on the number of participants). \nFor riders who may still be working on their handling skills\, we will focus on the airpark track itself.
