DESCRIPTION:Take the bicycle festival survey here\nLet’s ride a bike!\nThe South Inglewood Bicycle Festival is back for a second year! This event brings together a wide variety of bicycling enthusiasts – from supporters to mechanics\, from beginners to experienced cyclists\, from commuters to mountain bikers to cargo haulers and more. \nBike Fun is grateful to have received a second year grant from the Inglewood Neighborhood Association in support of this event. We are also thankful for our returning location partner\, the South Inglewood Community Center! \nIf there’s inclement weather\, the Bicycle Festival will be held inside the South Inglewood Community Center. Otherwise\, we’ll be outside! \nWhat’s going on during the festival?\nRebecca Street will be a SLOW STREET! It will be CLOSED to anything other than residential traffic. You can access the community center parking lot via Moore. You can park on Branch\, Moore\, Shinkle\, or Ann Streets. \nIn addition to the tables and activities from festival participants\, Bike Fun will have 4 stations for attendees: \n\na basic bicycle maintenance station (with kids bike giveaways)\na station for traffic laws and safety guidelines\na helmet fitting station (with adult & kid helmet giveaways)\na station with crafts to make your bike or bike helmet more fun and visible\n\n1:00pm – Festival opens\n1:30pm – Storytime ride with Ms Allgood of Inglewood Elementary (meet at Inglewood Elementary booth)\n2:00pm – Slow Bicycle Race with Friends of Shelby (meet at Friends of Shelby booth)\n2:30pm – “How to Mom on a Bike” – with Brenda & Meg (meet at cargo bike/bus demo area)\n3:00pm – Storytime ride with Ms Allgood of Inglewood Elementary (meet at Inglewood Elementary booth)\nOngoing – bicycle giveaways\, helmet giveaways\, helmet fitting\, rider/bicycle visibility\, slow street on Rebecca St\n4:00pm – Festival closes \nThanks to our participants\, we’ll have some great giveaways at the Bicycle Festival including helmets\, lights\, kids bikes\, t-shirts\, and more. \nBest of all\, this event is free & open to the public. \n30 Days of Biking\nThe month of April is the season for 30 Days of Biking. DESCRIPTION:Let’s ride a bike!\nThe South Inglewood Bicycle Festival will bring together a wide variety of bicycling enthusiasts – from supporters to mechanics\, from beginners to experienced cyclists\, from commuters to mountain bikers to cargo haulers and more. \nBike Fun is grateful to have received a grant from the Inglewood Neighborhood Association in support of this event. \nIf there’s inclement weather\, the Bicycle Festival will be held inside the South Inglewood Community Center. Otherwise\, we’ll be outside! \nWhat’s going on during the festival?\nIn addition to the tables and activities from festival participants\, Bike Fun will have 5 stations for attendees: \n\na basic bicycle maintenance station (staffed by volunteers from Oasis Bike Workshop & Bike Fun)\na station for traffic laws and safety guidelines (staffed by volunteers from Bike Fun)\na helmet fitting station (staffed by volunteers from TICL / NICA GRiT)\na station with crafts to make your bike or bike helmet more fun and visible (staffed by volunteers from Patagonia Nashville & Bike Fun)\na bicycle sizing & style station (staffed by volunteers from REI Brentwood)\n\nThanks to our participants\, we’ll have some great giveaways at the Bicycle Festival including helmets\, lights\, kids bikes\, t-shirts\, and more. \nExtra chances to win cool bike stuff!\nAll festival participants and attendees can pledge to ride their bicycle during the entire month of April as part of 30 Days of Biking. DESCRIPTION:This is the NCE’s Spring Showcase\, where you can meet your instructors\, see what former students have created\, and learn more about their programs. Instructors and students will be available with samples of work from classes and demonstrations. Register for classes and find your classroom before the first night! \nThere will be lots of prizes throughout the evening including gift certificates\, NCE swag\, and more. \nKJ will be teaching as part of the Nashville Community Education series. This class is open to the general public\, and registration is available through the Nashville Community Education website. Class registration will be available on the NCE site (scroll down to “Biking Basics”) starting on Monday\, December 12th. \n  \n  \n
