DESCRIPTION:Need tools\, parts\, support? We got you.\nCome join us on the second Tuesday of the month through the end of 2024 at Cosecha Community at Woodbine UMC. We’ll have information on bike riding\, taking care of your bike\, and more. \nIndoor shop space is limited to 3 people at a time for up to one hour. We ask for a deposit of wallet\, watch\, phone\, or keys in addition to a signed waiver. We will also have a workstand set up outside for quick fixes or inspections. \n  \nIt’s donation-based\nWe’ve got a limited number of spare parts available on a sliding scale basis. If you just need bench space to use tools\, consider making donation to either Bike Fun or Cosecha Community. \nFirst come\, first served\nBasic fix assistance includes fix-a-flat\, bolt safety checks\, and chain cleaning. We will have replacement tubes & tires on a first-come-first-served basis. Come see us and learn how to keep your bike in good riding shape! \n\n¿Necesita herramientas\, piezas o asistencia? We will have activities for learning to ride\, an open ride time\, and the SLOWEST BICYCLE RACE – with prizes! \nThe event will be held at the Green Hills Park on Lone Oak Rd and will feature community groups\, food vendors\, activities\, and a movie. \nMeet us at the tennis courts! \nWhat we’ll learn\nFrom 5-6PM\, Bike Fun and friends will host an introduction to riding skills. This activity is designed for ANYONE who hasn’t learned how to pedal a two wheeled bicycle yet. We will have bikes of all sizes for riders to try. If you have a bike and want us to help you get it set up to learn\, bring it with you! \nWe will also have an OPEN SKILLS RIDE running concurrently from 5-6:30PM. \nFrom 6:30-7:00PM challenge your skills in the SLOWEST BICYCLE RACE. DESCRIPTION:Take the bicycle festival survey here\nLet’s ride a bike!\nThe South Inglewood Bicycle Festival is back for a second year! This event brings together a wide variety of bicycling enthusiasts – from supporters to mechanics\, from beginners to experienced cyclists\, from commuters to mountain bikers to cargo haulers and more. \nBike Fun is grateful to have received a second year grant from the Inglewood Neighborhood Association in support of this event. We are also thankful for our returning location partner\, the South Inglewood Community Center! \nIf there’s inclement weather\, the Bicycle Festival will be held inside the South Inglewood Community Center. Otherwise\, we’ll be outside! \nWhat’s going on during the festival?\nRebecca Street will be a SLOW STREET! It will be CLOSED to anything other than residential traffic. You can access the community center parking lot via Moore. Bike Fun will be providing guided bike loops on demo bike infrastructure set up outside the community center. We will also be assisting with helmet fitting\, bike riding techniques\, and more! \nThe East Nashville Spokes project will provide protected bike lanes\, enhanced pedestrian crossings\, optimized intersections\, and other transportation improvements for Woodland/Union Streets\, South 5th Street\, and South 10th Street. East Nashville Spokes is the culmination of many years of planning for bikeway and multimodal improvements between East Nashville and downtown. \nVisit the open house for more details\nThe open house will provide more information on existing conditions findings\, design concepts\, and real life examples of delineator options for the public to see and experience. DESCRIPTION:Let’s ride a bike!\nThe South Inglewood Bicycle Festival will bring together a wide variety of bicycling enthusiasts – from supporters to mechanics\, from beginners to experienced cyclists\, from commuters to mountain bikers to cargo haulers and more. \nBike Fun is grateful to have received a grant from the Inglewood Neighborhood Association in support of this event. \nIf there’s inclement weather\, the Bicycle Festival will be held inside the South Inglewood Community Center. Otherwise\, we’ll be outside! \nWhat’s going on during the festival?\nIn addition to the tables and activities from festival participants\, Bike Fun will have 5 stations for attendees: \n\na basic bicycle maintenance station (staffed by volunteers from Oasis Bike Workshop & Bike Fun)\na station for traffic laws and safety guidelines (staffed by volunteers from Bike Fun)\na helmet fitting station (staffed by volunteers from TICL / NICA GRiT)\na station with crafts to make your bike or bike helmet more fun and visible (staffed by volunteers from Patagonia Nashville & Bike Fun)\na bicycle sizing & style station (staffed by volunteers from REI Brentwood)\n\nThanks to our participants\, we’ll have some great giveaways at the Bicycle Festival including helmets\, lights\, kids bikes\, t-shirts\, and more. \nExtra chances to win cool bike stuff!\nAll festival participants and attendees can pledge to ride their bicycle during the entire month of April as part of 30 Days of Biking.
