Let’s get back on!\nThis free workshop for returning adult riders is geared towards bicycle riders who want to boost their confidence to ride in the neighborhood\, to ride with their community\, and to ride on their own. \nRegister here! \nTopics covered will include \n\nPre-ride bike check\nStrong starting and safe stopping\nScanning\, signalling\, and turning\nAssessing conditions when riding\n\nWho should take this class?\nThis class is designed for adult students who know how to ride a bike and want to increase their riding confidence after some time away from riding. Bike Fun has limited bicycles and helmets to use for students who need them. If you need a bicycle or helmet\, we have limited quantities available – just let us know on the registration form! \nWhat should I bring?\nIf you have a bicycle to ride that is in safe working condition\, please bring it! (Not sure if it’s in safe working condition? Bring it to a local bike shop for a once-over before the workshop. We cannot repair bicycles on site.) \nBring a snack and some water. Let’s get back on!\nThis free workshop for returning adult riders is geared towards bicycle riders who want to boost their confidence to ride in the neighborhood\, to ride with their community\, and to ride on their own. \nTopics covered will include \n\nPre-ride bike check\nStrong starting and safe stopping\nScanning\, signalling\, and turning\nAssessing conditions when riding\n\nWho should take this class?\nThis class is designed for adult students who know how to ride a bike and want to increase their riding confidence after some time away from riding. Bike Fun has limited bicycles and helmets to use for students who need them. If you need a bicycle or helmet\, we have limited quantities available – just let us know on the registration form! \nWhat should I bring?\nIf you have a bicycle to ride that is in safe working condition\, please bring it! (Not sure if it’s in safe working condition? Bring it to a local bike shop for a once-over before the workshop. We cannot repair bicycles on site.) \nBring a snack and some water. Find out why it’s important to clean your bike\, what inflation to use for your tires\, how to clean a chain\, and more. \nYou must register to attend – fill out this registration form! Class size is limited to 7 students. Suggested donation $10-15.  \nWant to keep your bike on the road and out of the shop? Come learn how just a few maintenance tasks will keep your bike going longer. \nOn Saturday\, September 10th\, Bike Fun is hosting a Basic Bicycle Maintenance class. We’ll be outside and will cover the basics of home bicycle maintenance\, as well as provide time to answer all the questions you may have about bicycle maintenance. If you have a bicycle and bring it\, we’ll also fill out your very own Bicycle Information Sheet. \nThis course is for anyone 7-12 years of age (and their parent or caregiver!!) who wants to learn more about taking good care of a bicycle. It will cover the following topics: \n\nHow to fix a flat\nHow to properly inflate your tires\nHow to clean a chain and diagnose chain wear; and\nHow to make basic brake adjustments.\n\nParents and caregivers are welcome to stay and watch. Bicycles can be provided for those who would like to attend but don’t have their own bicycle yet. Please bring a water bottle/hydration and a snack! DESCRIPTION:We are RESCHEDULING this event to Tuesday\, May 31st\, due to anticipated weather on the 26th. Thank you! \nE-bikes are a great way to get active. This introductory class will familiarize you with the e-bikes in the Nashville B-Cycle fleet. This session is designed for older riders who want to learn more about pedal assist bicycles. \nExperts from Bike Fun will lead participants with an introduction to bike safety and give you a chance to ride an e-bike in a flat\, vehicle-free\, open area. \nWe will go over the following: \n\nTurning the bike on\nBrief safety check before riding\nShifting gears\nBraking techniques\n\nAdditionally\, we’ll cover finding the BCycle stations\, using the app\, signing up for an account\, how to borrow the bikes\, and hours of operation. \nE-bikes pedal and handle just like a regular bicycle. By and large\, an electric bike will use the same parts too. The electric component is meant to augment human power\, not completely replace it. It makes obstacles like hills and headwind more manageable and allows you to travel further without getting as tired. \nPlease register so we know how many bicycles to have on hand!
