This course is meant for brand new riders and for potential riders who are anxious about getting back on a bicycle after a long time away. \n(Interested in volunteering to help us out? Fill out this form!) \nClass Details\nPlease note: this class is for ages 7 and up and have limited tickets available for each age group! \n(Español abajo) \nThis course is for people who have never pedaled a bicycle before or who have been away for decades! Let’s get back on!\nThis free workshop for returning adult riders is geared towards bicycle riders who want to boost their confidence to ride in the neighborhood\, to ride with their community\, and to ride on their own. \nTopics covered will include \n\nPre-ride bike check\nStrong starting and safe stopping\nScanning\, signalling\, and turning\nAssessing conditions when riding\n\nWho should take this class?\nThis class is designed for adult students who know how to ride a bike and want to increase their riding confidence after some time away from riding or for adults who have recently learned how to ride and want to practice the basics. Bike Fun has limited bicycles and helmets to use for students who need them. If you need a bicycle or helmet\, just let us know on the registration form! \nWhat should I bring?\nIf you have a bicycle to ride that is in safe working condition\, please bring it! (Not sure if it’s in safe working condition? Bring it to a local bike shop for a once-over before the workshop\, or visit us at a Bike Lab Open Shop event to learn how to work on it yourself! We cannot repair bicycles on site.) \nBring a snack and some water. Bathrooms are available on site as needed. \nOther class details\nWe will work in the side parking lot and then apply the skills we learn during a short neighborhood ride. \nClass size is limited to 10 participants.

We will cover the basics of home bicycle maintenance\, as well as provide time to answer questions you may have about bicycle maintenance. If you have a bicycle and bring it\, we’ll also fill out your very own Bicycle Information Sheet. \nWe will be inside working on our bicycles. \nThis course is for anyone 13 and up who wants to learn more about taking good care of a bicycle. SUMMARY:Bikes and Bites at the Community Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Bring your bike – we’ll help you figure it out.\nCome join us on the first Tuesday of the month at Trinity Community Commons. We’ll be at the Community Dinner with information on bike riding\, advocating for people who ride bikes in Nashville\, taking care of your bike\, and more. \nStay for the community dinner and meet neighbors who are passionate about making Nashville a more connected and vibrant place to live. \nIt’s free\nYou don’t have to pay anything to have your bike assessed. If you’d like to make a donation to either Bike Fun or Trinity Community Commons\, you are welcome to do so! \nFirst come\, first served\nOur basic fixes include fix-a-flat\, bolt safety checks\, and chain cleaning. We will have replacement tubes & tires on a first-come-first-served basis. Come see us and learn how to keep your bike in good riding shape! \n\nBike Fun is a non-profit whose mission is to create joyful riders in Middle Tennessee.\nTrinity Community Commons leverages sacred space to affirm and activate the worth and potential of all members of our community.
